Advantages of aluminum window and door frames

  • High resistance
    to weather conditions and mechanical damage
  • Durability
    Aluminum sections last over 50–60 years; they are very durable and resistant to moisture and water
  • Light weight of the product
    compared to wooden and plastic counterparts
  • Easy maintenance
    Aluminum window and door frames do not require special treatment, painting, or complex cleaning
  • Variety of shapes and sizes
    Aluminum sections are highly malleable, allowing for the creation of various designs that align with architectural and design solutions
  • Environmental safety
    Aluminum window frames are completely ecofriendly. Aluminum emits no radiation and is odorless
  • Improves fire safety
    Aluminum frames do not burn at all, so such a frame will never cause a fire in your home!

Types of aluminum window frames

There are two types of aluminum window systems: cold and warm. They differ in terms of design features and intended use.

  • “Cold” aluminum window frames are designed for terraces, balconies, and unheated rooms. Their distinctive feature is that the sections do not contain insulating inserts, which help retain heat. They are more affordable and lightweight. The thickness of the glass installed in the aluminum section ranges from 4 to 6 mm.
  • “Warm” aluminum window frames are designed for country homes, cottages, and public buildings. They are called “warm” due to the use of insulating inserts and double-pane or single-pane energy-saving glass. The presence of an insulating insert ensures heat retention and reduced thermal conductivity; this is the advantage of “warm” aluminum window frames over “cold” ones without an insulating insert.

Types of aluminum doors

As for doors, "warm" ones are installed outdoors: at entrances, on open balconies or loggias, etc. "Cold" aluminum doors are widely used in construction for store entrances, to fill openings inside buildings, in partition structures, as well as in aluminum facades and vestibules. Aluminum section doors are robust, visually appealing, reliable, and durable.

As a rule, aluminum doors are classified by their opening mechanisms. Besides traditional types, there are:

  • swing versions (the door leaf can open outward or inward);
  • sliding doors (including automated ones);
  • revolving or carousel types. Such aluminum doors are often installed at the entrances to shopping centers and stores. Several rotating panels (usually three) ensure visitors’ convenient access to the facility.
