Ventilated Facade Technology

A ventilated facade is a special building cladding technology where the material is attached not to the walls, but to an aluminum or steel frame. the cavity between the wall and the cladding material is filled with insulation (mineral wool or any other type of insulation).

The ventilated facade system protects the building from the formation of destructive condensation and adverse environmental influences, retains heat, and ensures good sound insulation. Still, the air inside the building does not stagnate and it continues to “breathe.”

Brackets are attached to the prepared wall to support the frame, which will subsequently bear the entire load.

Before the frame is installed, sheets of thermal insulation material are laid between the brackets, and the entire structure is covered with a special film.

Next, the frame is installed. It can be made of wooden battens or metal sections, depending on the weight of the cladding material. For porcelain stoneware, aluminum or corrugated galvanized sections are usually chosen.

The cladding panels are mounted onto the finished frame.

  • Key Distinctive Features of Ventilated Facades:
  • Versatility of the technology. Suspended ventilated facades are successfully used for the exterior finishing of buildings of any purpose and type.
  • Speed of installation. Facades of this type are installed on a building without any special prior preparation of the construction site.
  • Protective functions. A suspended facade acts as a protective shell for the building, effectively shielding the entire structure from atmospheric and other destructive environmental factors.
  • Exterior versatility. Ventilated suspended facades allow creating virtually any shape and texture common in modern architecture or imitating an antique style.
  • Ease of repair. Damaged structural elements can be easily removed and replaced with new ones.
  • Durability. The service life of ventilated facades is 30+ years.
  • Thermal insulation properties. The layered structure and special properties of the materials used allow for savings on heating and cooling the buildings with these facades.

Ventilated facades must be installed only by trained experts. That is why you can trust Alfa Pro. We have been in the market for 13 years, and our employees have the appropriate qualifications and extensive experience.

One of the advantages of a ventilated facade is its aesthetic appearance. A wide range of available colors, various surface textures, and panel sizes allow creating a unique facade design and highlighting the building’s architecture.
